A person trained in the ancient and scientific art of using herbs for superior health; in the United States there is no regulation or licenses for herbalist but there are many very reputable schools that teach many different aspects of herbs and offer certifications. A certified herbalist has likely been trained in specific areas and will be qualified to offer evidence based research pertaining to restoring or maintaining health.
